In order to express a mood "newly done, fresh hot" where the battle finished right now, I decided to put a smoke effect between the robot head on the foreground and the background.

Open the image from stocks that would be the basic material for smoke texture.
This is the stuff that I often use in the series of GUNNM LO these days.
It was made with a Photoshop filter.
Copy & paste this.
Go to menu "Edit" ->"Transform" -> "Distort" to extend it widely.
Since one is insufficient, copy and paste another, transform it, then set the blend mode of the layer to "Screen".
Check "Colorize" in "Hue/Saturation" and make it yellowish gas.
