Start detail depiction with the blade in another layer, which is my concern.

Check "Preserve Transparency" in the layer palette.
By doing this, I can concentrate on color painting without caring about color overflowing into the transparent portion of the layer.

As for the straight portion of edge, turn "Straight line strokes" on in the upper left menu and draw it.
